Job Description

Job Summary (Primary Function)


The candidate is responsible to develop and maintain exceptional local partnerships with Dermatologists and other key stakeholders, to launch and drive demand of our innovative products, and to build Incyte’s reputation as a trusted corporate partner in the dermatology community. The focus may shift depending on the success of our research pipeline and the workload of the future portfolio roles within Dermatology. The candidate will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including Sales, Product Strategy, Medical and Market Access to ensure optimal use of our new innovative Dermatology solutions to improve patient’s outcomes. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in the Immunology/ biologic product space, strong sales performance, and cross functional in-field leadership skills.


Location: New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland


Essential Functions Of The Job (Key Responsibilities)


  • Utilize members of the matrix team to address customer needs and ensure access to Incyte products for appropriate patients
  • Decisively leverage resources to maximize ROI
  • Create and maintain a strategically developed account by account business plans that reflects in depth local market and account specific knowledge to consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets
  • Develop and maintain strong disease state and product knowledge and communicate relevant scientific information effectively to ensure responsible and optimal use of new Dermatology products
  • Collaborate with the cross functional teams to execute innovative solutions to address care gaps and improve patient outcomes including educational programs, collaborative projects, access and advocacy initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies while always representing Incyte in a professional, compliant, and ethical manner
  • Execute marketing strategies, deliver branded and disease state sales messages, execute planned promotional programs
  • Develop and maintain exceptional partnerships with a diverse network of Dermatology stakeholders including but not limited to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and professional societies


Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency):


  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and elite sales performance
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Superb oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of the evolving medical dermatology market place, its various customer segments, and local healthcare and payer systems
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and valid passport
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Experience working effectively in cross functional and in-field teams, as well as with multiple internal/external stakeholders
  • Must possess well-established relationships with dermatologists in local/regional area of responsibility
  • Field position and ability to occasionally travel within Canada and globally
  • Experience with Patient support programs (PSPs), Pharmacy, Market Access and other non-sales functions will be strong assets
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications
  • Minimum of 5 years successful biotech/specialty pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Exceptional knowledge of scientific selling and recent launch experience with highly scientific products or biologic products in immunology/ dermatology space
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
  • Documented history of successful product launches in a highly competitive market
