Ontario Line South
Our team is mobilizing its design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?

• Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
• A six-kilometre tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
• Stations:
• One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
• Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown.

What you will do:

• Manage change orders, assessing their impact on costs and timelines.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to negotiate favorable pricing.
• Prepare reports on expenses, variances, and budget performance.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with projects.
• Track and monitor project expenses, ensuring alignment with the approved budget.
• Develop and analyze project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Foster communication and collaboration with project teams and stakeholders
• Implement effective cost control procedures and policies.

Qualifications
What we ask for:

• Proven experience in construction cost control or similar roles.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of cost management principles.
• Knowledge of construction laws and regulations is a plus.
• Proficiency in cost control software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Accounting, or related field.
