We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team in Oakville, ON. This is a temporary position (14 months).

Responsibilities:

• Support Marketing initiatives as required ex. developing social posts.
• Support with company-wide communications and employee engagement initiatives including weekly newsletters, organizational announcements and internal events.
• Manage the internal communications content calendar.
• Manage relationships with internal teams and external vendors including translation service providers and designers.
• Help identify ways to improve communication across the business.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the Marketing and Communications team and stakeholders across different departments and Business Units providing guidance on messaging and communication platforms to use, when required.
• Coordination of daily internal communications activities for various channels including content development, intranet page design and overall management of the intranet CMS and digital signage platform.
• Assist in moderating internal communication channels.
• Monitor and report on internal communications initiatives such as supporting the creation of the quarterly internal communications analytics report – distilling insights from available analytics to communicate the effectiveness of initiatives to stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvement as necessary.

Education & Certifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Relationship-building: Collaborative with the ability to work with cross-functional teams, external vendors and other key stakeholders.
• Design: Understanding or willingness to learn design platforms such as Photoshop and InDesign.
• Project management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Editorial: Experience with proofreading and editing using Canadian Press Style.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to simplify complex information in a way that can be understood by all audiences.
• Work experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
