Title: Consultant, Customer Analytics
Location: Toronto (hybrid)

The Kantar Analytics Practice (KAP) has made significant investments in the last few years to further expand our capabilities and footprint in emerging analytics disciplines such as Data Engineering, Customer Analytics and Digital & Social Media Analytics. The practice has strong client relationships in data-rich verticals such as consumer goods, beverages, retail, insurance, telecom, entertainment, automotive and hospitality, among others. The Customer Analytics team is focused on helping clients get more insight out of their data. As we strive to offer end-to-end analytics, data engineering and data visualization solutions, we seek a Manager/Senior Manager with client-facing/onsite experience who is looking for the next step in their analytics career journey.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
You will be responsible for generating and leveraging analytics to deliver customer and merchandising insights in support of working with retailers to build customer-centric pricing strategies and execute merchandising decisions informed by analytics.
KEY OUTCOMES OF THE ROLE
The candidate is required to carry out various duties, the main ones of which are listed below:
- Translate sales and transaction data into actionable recommendations for the client stakeholders.
- Engage with the client stakeholders to understand business problems, ideate & converge on solutions/approaches, and develop analytical solutions.
- Present Insights findings to the clients.
- Optimize and standardize deliverables to ensure client expectations are met in scope, speed & quality.
CAPABILITIES
To succeed, you will need:
- Knowledge of the Canadian Retail Market.
- Good Analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of SQL. To be used to fetch data from platforms like PDW, HIVE, Google Big Query etc.
- 5 years of experience in Category and Consumer/Shopper Insights.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar field is preferred.
- Comfortable in presenting to senior management audiences.
- Category Management/Merchandizing (CPG) experience is preferable.
- Experience in data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau is preferred.
- Proficient on the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work with global teams and communicate effectively. Prior experience handing client engagement through on-site, offshore model will be helpful.
