Analyst - Data and Analytics (Contract Position)

Number of Positions: 1 Filled: 0 Duration: 12 months

Location: Ontario (London, Toronto), Winnipeg or Regina

Must be eligible to work in Canada

Hybrid flex - 1 day a week in office

Cleared background checks required - criminal, civil litigation, employment verification (candidate pays)

ANY SPECIFIC TOOLS / SKILLSET:

- Education preferred: Certificate in Data Science combined with an Undergraduate degree that includes data modelling

- Experience: 1-5 years in a Business Analyst role

- Ability to communicate effectively with management, advisors, customers, and prospects

- Strong analytical skills for problem solving purposes and to monetize value for the organization

- Strong creative thinking skills to determine unique ways to deliver on unmet customer needs

- Proven interpersonal / teamwork skills on high performing teams

- Experience working on project teams to analyze business needs

- Proven ability to learn and handle multiple priorities in a challenging work environment

- Proven ability to think at an abstract level

- Highly proficient in the other core Microsoft Office applications

- Mix of proficiency with SAS, SPSS, R, SQL, Matlab, VBA, C++, Java, Python

- Experienced with PowerBI and EazyBI toolsets

- Able to interface with various data sources to be build comprehensive dynamic dashboards from SharePoint, JIRA, ServiceNow, Clarity PPM, Excel

ROLE PROFILE DESCRIPTION:

- Candidate would be responsible for creating:

- Reporting Assessment and Planning processes

- Reporting Methods and Standards across various data sources

- Report / dashboard templates and reporting policy

- Reporting and evaluation process

- Data Visualization / Dashboarding leveraging PowerBI or EazyBI (or a combination of the two)

- Keep an inventory of all reports / data owner / report owner

DELIVERABLES:

- DESIGN the measurement and reporting system to be used for dashboards and reporting for other capabilities

- ESTABLISH the process for Reporting and evaluation, and Improvement Proposals

- BUILD AND MAINTAIN the reports on practices, products, services, initiatives, and resources (supporting delivery, operations, including service assurance)
