Description

As the Director of Data and Analytics, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of managers and analysts to ensure the organization's data is accurate, accessible, and insightful. Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Development, you will work closely with leaders across the organization to provide new or enhanced analytical approaches, lead data strategy and implementation of data tools, and promote data literacy cross-functionally. You will be accountable for modelling complex problems, developing predictive systems, and identifying opportunities through experimental analysis/mining and visualization techniques.

What’s On Your Plate

• Identify and recommend new data sources, tools, and techniques to improve data quality and analytical capabilities.
• Develop, oversee, and reinforce long-term data strategy, governance, standards, and best practices.
• Identify and define opportunities by deeply understanding insights, the customer, and market landscape, synthesizing inputs across research, customers, marketing, and sales to unlock future growth.
• Broker leadership connection across Skip and Just Eat Takeaway teams to understand each team’s priorities and requirements to enable drive data strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in research, data and analytics.
• Manage a team that designs, develops, or enhances data models and dashboards that provide actionable insights to the business.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the Data and Analytics team.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders through compelling presentations and visualizations.
• Ownership of the order volume model and forecast.

Recipe For Success

• Strong experience in managing and leading a team of data analysts.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful insights.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, finance, computer science, or engineering.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing successful data and analytics strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools, such as R or Python.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data and analytics, preferably in the food delivery or e-commerce industry.
