What You’ll Be Doing


Reporting to the Director, Personal Lending Data & Reporting, the Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for developing value added, actionable insights, by leveraging both internal and external data combined with analytical techniques. Using a combined business, technical, and data focused lens, this individual will transform raw data and numbers into meaningful insights through a combination of data feeds, reports, dashboards, and self-serve analytical tools. The successful candidate will be an energetic and self-motivated individual with strong software skills, a commitment to details, and a keen client focus.

How You’ll Succeed


  • Provide advice and recommendations on available data sources to address the business need.
  • Consultant- Participate as a thought partner and provide advice and recommendations that assist in the development and evolution of our business mandate and help our business make Better Decisions Faster
  • Data Management, Analysis & Insight Development- Using analytical tools and techniques (e.g. SAS, SQL) with efficiency and attention to detail, extract, synthesize and interpret large amounts of appropriate information from multiple sources.
  • Design, develop, and implement fully automated processes from end-to-end that take raw, unstructured datasets and transform them into self-serve analytical “assets” in a structured environment used by analytical and non-analytical end users.
  • Utilize BI/visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, ThoughtSpot) and use your storytelling skills to translate data into compelling reports and presentations for key stakeholders including Senior Executives. Identify and communicate trends and opportunities, establish and measure KPIs.
  • Consult with technology partners and other data owners to identify relevant data sources and data elements and develop a technical plan (analytical blueprint) to address the business issue
  • Present insights, advice and recommendations to cross functional business partners at different levels within the organization


Who You Are
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with data analysis and querying using SAS and/or SQL.
  • You have a degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Engineering/ Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other analytically based discipline or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven skills in designing high-quality dashboards and performance scorecards using visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, data management and project management skills; ability to guide the design of and leverage insights from all analyses.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple activities of varying complexity while under time constraints.
  • Previous financial services experience would be an asset
