About Our Client
Acting as the Owner and construction manager our client has become a leader in the hospitality space. Working with leading brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and IHG, their organization has rapidly expanded in recent years, and they aim to maintain an aggressive growth plan to add more hotels to their diverse portfolio.

• Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established schedules
• Develop and implement quality control programs
• Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff
• Plan, schedule, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
• Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
• Prepare contracts/PO's and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Manage hotel capital expenditure jobs with hotel GM's
• Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
• Handle project administration, including cost control, schedule control, change order administration and procurement

The Successful Applicant

• Familiarity with construction methods and the building codes
• 5-10 years of experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of development projects
• Project Manager must hold a valid driver's license and passport. Travel in the US and to and from Canada will be required.
• Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Proficient in MS Project and/or Primavera and the MS Office Suite of products
• Knowledge of the building development/redevelopment industry
• Must have renovation experience in a commercial building, hotel-specific experience preferred
