Ansid CFOs have extensive experience helping clients with corporate and operational financial management, digital transformation, and providing strategic business consulting services.

Ansid Client Accounting associates ensure that books of accounts for our portfolio of clients are updated timely, are compliant with relevant regulations, and available for Ansid CFOs to rely on as they provide advisory services to clients.

The Opportunity

Ansid is hiring for two Client Accounting associates.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the following, using QuickBooks Online and other cloud accounting software:

• Record supplier bills and process vendor payments based on client business rules;
• Prepare customer invoices and follow up on collections based on client business rules;
• Prepare and file client HST, sales tax and payroll returns including ROEs;
• Prepare month-end journal entries and accruals;
• Record banking and credit card transactions;
• Prepare and process payroll and remit source deductions, payroll taxes, and HST/sales taxes;
• Record revenue and expenses in client books based on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) applicable to each client;
• Ensure all transactions have supporting backup documentation;
• Continually review Ansid internal and client processes, provide recommendations for improvement, and implement as needed;
• Meet or exceed all client and internal Ansid deadlines and reasonable expectations;
• Always communicate effectively and professionally with clients and Consulting CFOs via email, in-person, or over phone/video calls.
• Onboard new clients, including handling of migrations to QuickBooks Online;
• Assist in finance transformation projects;
• Provide support to clients on general questions regarding accounting issues while providing technical and project management support to team members for accounting related engagements;
• Complete monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts;

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles including accruals, asset capitalization, and revenue recognition.
• At least 3 years of accounting and full-charge bookkeeping experience, including compliance with HST/sales taxes, payroll taxes, WSIB, EHT, and similar requirements.
• Ideally working towards an accounting designation.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Exposure to multi-currency and multi-entity accounting.
