Chief Information Officer

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Information Officer is responsible for the strategic planning, leadership and management of the credit union and subsidiary’s information technology team, systems, security, and processes. Strategic collaboration with your peers will be a primary objective for the role. This a new position to enable a heightened level of focus on this area of the credit union.
The Person
The ideal candidate has proven experience in implementing and managing information technology, system, and risk management activities. You have the ability to ensure that information technology activities comply with sound business practices, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures. In addition, you have the knowledge to leverage existing and emerging technology solutions which can provide for alternative delivery, competitive advantage, and which support the business strategy, goals and objectives. You will ensure the credit union’s information technology infrastructure, data, and systems are secure and protected against cyber threats in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry recognized frameworks.
You are a strong people leader with proven ability to motivate both direct and indirect teams to perform their best. The ideal person has the ability to work within an environment that is innovative, and be able to utilize a common sense approach with sound judgement to provide clear direction.You have a strong understanding of the information technology landscape, requirements, and business impacts.A university degree with focus on computer science, computer engineering, or other relevant discipline along with a minimum of 10 years previous related experience is required.A high level of integrity, superior communication and interpersonal skills round out your experience.
