Tasks & Responsibilities:


  • Escalate claims awareness to Senior Management as outlined in company policies
  • Other duties as assigned.Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills:
  • Ensure a safe working environment through consistent practice of safety programs and procedures
  • Manage employees and daily activities for the North America team and coordinate with the LATAM teams to ensure consistency at regional level
  • Support senior leadership with daily execution of the strategy for the area
  • Liaise with operational areas to provide feedback and training to staff involved with freight claims.
  • Responsible for ensuring company policies and procedures are followed regionally while promoting a friendly teamwork environment.
  • Create internal departmental policies and procedures for timely resolution of claims and compliance with global practices and standards
  • Produce monthly scorecard to publish to Regional Senior Management
  • Act as Claims Coordinator for the countries in the Americas Region
  • Knowledge and experience with Claims Handling Process.
  • English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Continuously monitor progress and performance through appropriate KPIs and reporting. Implement corrective actions where and when needed.
  • Perform duties in accordance with industry standards, regulations, corporate timelines, performance standards and workplace safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Comfortable with reporting and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with Claims Managers and Coordinators of other regions to foster collaboration, effectiveness and improve the perception of our customers in relation to our Global Claims process.
  • Analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining reports in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
  • Serving as escalation point of contact for questions on operations’ best practices, broker and carrier liability, and all overage, shortage, and damage issues.
  • Provide quality customer service to customers and claimants as needed.
  • Knowledge of Cargo Insurance practices.
  • Develop and implement process to periodically audit regional claims files in WebClaims to guarantee quality data for reporting
  • Personal integrity and commitment, independent and solution-oriented working style, team spirit. This is a manager position. Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills required. Must have Bachelor’s degree in related area. Generally, prefer 1+ years of related management experience. We are an equal opportunity employer.   • Knowledge of international conventions for all modes of transport, as well as US and Canada’s conventions.

  • Knowledge of Power BI preferred.
