Job Title: Customer Service Center Manager
Department: Toronto CSC
Location: Toronto, Ontario Canada
Report To: VP, Distribution
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations: Provide industry leading customer service to our customers. Work with sales to develop and maintain customers through innovative service offering and performance. Develop and direct all team members to ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation. Oversee all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met. Lean tools for continuous improvement must be used daily to ensure the warehouse is neat and well organized. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety in accordance with OHSA and Southwire standards. Oversee job assignments and labor schedules. Plan long-range labor needs based upon demand forecasts. Focus on continuous improvement and make recommendations to senior management on programs to improve operations. This is inclusive of safety, quality, customer service, cost, inventory, and team member engagement.
Management: Direct the leadership team and operations warehouse team members to achieve prescribed objectives. Play a key role in identifying and hiring of new team members. Develop and maintain a productive work team. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in leading, supervising, and coaching. Through personal leadership, ensure that a positive and efficient work environment is created and maintained.
Equipment/Safety: Ensure that procedures are in place for the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment. Direct programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment, and property. Provide safety instruction to personnel as needed. Report all work-related injuries immediately. Provide immediate medical attention to injured team members as necessary. Ensure compliance with appropriate government regulations.
Inventory Management/Security: Ensure current and accurate inventory control for all products. Ensure the security of the facility, its environs, team members, and contents. Conduct regular instruction in good security practices.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or related degree preferred.
•5+ years of proven operations or distribution management experience required.
•Must have a comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations.
•Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with exceptional interpersonal skills.
•Must be able to interface and communicate effectively within the organization, with business units throughout the company, and with partners across the supply chain.
•Working knowledge of SAP WMS preferred
