Business Operations Director Jobs

Insight Global is a leading staffing firm headquartered in the United States with ~$4bn of global revenue. The company is launching Montreal operations and seeking an experienced Business Operations Director based in Montreal or Toronto to develop and scale the company’s Quebec operational functions including: Onboarding, Payroll, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and HR. The candidate will be expected to build a team to support a rapidly scaling business but also be a hands-on leader willing to execute functions as the operational team grows. The goal is to provide an excellent experience for all contractors, customers, and team members.

Key responsibilities (not limited to):

• Knowing when to hire someone to perform a function that is no longer sustainable for just one person
• Work closely with the Snr VP-Operations and the local Sales Leadership team to ensure all operational and administrative functions within the company are being properly executed, in accordance with best practices.
• Invoicing / Accounts Receivables along with support and management.
• Run payroll and provide support and management.
• Ability to provide very basic financial reports on a weekly basis (timesheets, weekly spread, etc.)
• Build and manage a team to perform the functions of HR, contractor Onboarding and Compliance, Payroll, Invoicing, and Accounts Receivable.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that core operational functions achieve their business objectives.
• Contracts management (ability to read staffing contracts and provide recommendations)
• Employee on-site contact for HR/payroll, Invoicing and Accounts Receivable.
• Anticipate and track operational risks and provide strategic solutions.
• Work with our recruiting team to ensure a smooth and compliant onboarding experience for our contractors.
• Manage vendor performance and support
• Make recommendations on software tools to use for back office, job boards, sales, etc. AND coordinate vendors.
• Scaling and managing of all operational functions for the London office, including managing any 3rd-party providers.
• Getting us registered with any local staffing regulatory or certifying bodies.
• Assist with the development and implementation of key company policies and training employees on those.
• Assist with new hires, including documentation and onboarding.
• Identify trends and assess opportunities to improve processes and execution.
• Provide support by performing key tasks in any of the operational functions until they are fully resourced, including, but not limited to:

Must Have

• Recruiting experience
• Proven experience in project planning, coordination, and delivery
• Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
• Experience of managing in a fast-paced scale-up/start-up environment
• Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
• Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
• Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
• Experience in a business operations or executive management role
• Bilingual- French and English
• Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations
