The opportunity:

Valnet is seeking a highly analytical, knowledgeable and driven Online Media Brand Manager to run the day-to-day for one of our authoritative consumer tech websites. The ideal candidate must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. This person will report directly to our Senior Brand Director and work closely with him to improve brand outreach.

The company is now firmly positioned between being a young startup and a large rigid company. This provides a unique opportunity to enter a company that provides in equal parts structure with substantial opportunity for career advancement.

What you will be doing:

• Analyze industry trends to maintain a competitive advantage
• Working with the leads of various initiatives on a daily basis
• Monitoring the various health indicators of the website to ensure that it is pacing towards its targets
• Consult on and eventually create the business strategy that is driving the investment decisions
• Coordinate with our various in-house experts to execute on the ongoing initiatives
• Work with the senior team on the website to ensure that data is driving the critical decisions
• Leveraging in house reporting tools to gain competitive advantage in the industry.
• Monitor the recruitment of various full time and freelance contributors in the operation

What you need to succeed:

• Work well as a team as well as independently.
• Work experience with Google Analytics.
• Work experience with Data Studios (Looker Studio) is an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Capable of quickly grasping complex concepts.
• Comfortable using O365.
• Outstanding organization and time-management skills.
• Proactive approach and a strong ability to take action with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Experience working in a challenging, multi-project, multi-team environment.
• A strong self-motivated learner.
• Highly process-oriented and detail-oriented.
• A minimum of 3 years of people management experience.
• Ability to interpret and glean insights from large data sets.
• Work experience with Google Search Console.
