The Brand Content & Communications Director reports to the Vice President of Marketing and is responsible for developing a 360-degree content strategy for both the Laura and Melanie Lyne brands. The individual will work with the Marketing VP to determine objectives for social media and public relations and to create a seamless brand experience for customers.
How will you support the team?
- Managing the voice of the Laura and Melanie Lyne content and help shape the narrative of our brand, such as emails, social media, PR campaigns, video content assets, and owning and managing the editorial calendar.
- Developing contacts and relationships with media representatives to create opportunities for keeping the Laura and Melanie Lyne brands top of mind. This includes developing and executing public relations campaigns and securing media coverage for the brands.
- Maintaining consistent branding and messaging across all digital and non-digital marketing collateral and platforms, while creating collateral that captures the target audience it is intended for.
- Lead the planning, management, execution and deployment of content that will be created for various channels, including blog articles, emails, and social media posts
- Developing and maintaining a process workflow that ensures consistent execution and delivery of social media marketing campaigns and public relations activities.
- Participate in copywriting efforts for the web, internal communications, talent marketing and customer communications
- Oversee the development and execution of the employer branding voice and LinkedIn content calendar, ensuring alignment with the company's mission, vision, values, and EVP. This includes defining the employer branding strategy, creating a content strategy, establishing consistent employer branding voice and messaging, developing a LinkedIn content calendar, and monitoring content performance to optimize engagement and attract top talent.
- Analyze and optimize the performance of content in market, giving advise on best practices for influencer marketing programs, contests, product/marketing storytelling, and more.
- Collaborating with Merchandising to determine product focus for editorial features and storytelling.
- Developing brand strategies and oversee the extension of the Laura and Melanie Lyne brands in the online environment and other channels with appropriate content, communication, tone & voice, image, and brand stories.
- Manages the budget for PR, social media and content development for both the Laura and Melanie Lyne brands.

- Proven ability to develop and execute a comprehensive content and communication strategy across various channels, including emails, social media, online brand strategy, and blogs.
- Creativity and ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes and supports the company's brand identity as a 360 strategy.
- Demonstrated expertise with Content Creation, Social Media Strategies, Influencer Marketing, Public Relations and Employer Branding.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that connect emotionally with target audiences.
- Strong project management skills
- Strong understanding of content marketing, Public Relations and Communications.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and across functions.
- University Degree or equivalent in English, Communications, Advertising, Journalism or Marketing.
- 10+ years of marketing, in content and communication strategy development with a strong focus on brand storytelling, public relations or journalism experience preferred including managing a social media community and several years on managing social media channels and building online communities.
