Job Description
Randstad is now looking for a part time temporary board secretary for Mid-May to end of June 2-3 days per week. This position would be part-remote and part in office for board meetings and committee meetings.
This is a good opportunity with a wonderful non profit organization located in beautiful Victoria bc.

Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate monthly board and committee meetings including:
  • Ensuring relevant room bookings and equipment availability
  • Publishing relevant board materials in a timely manner
  • Working with board chair, committee chairs, CEO and directors to prepare agendas
Provide comprehensive administrative support for Board and Committee meetings including:
  • Taking detailed minutes during board and committee meetings
  • Presenting draft minutes for approval and distributing approved minutes
  • Conducting detailed reviews of documents, presentations and reports prior to distribution to board members
  • Ensuring accurate filing of board documents including maintaining appropriate file access
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with not for profit sector a definite asset
  • Exceptional written and strong verbal communication skills coupled with attention to detail
  • High level of professionalism with a focus on confidentiality, discretion, tact and diplomacy in interactions with board members, staff, volunteers and the public
  • Strong computer skills with expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sharepoint
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience providing legal secretarial, board, or senior executive support
