The Leave of Absence (LOA) Administrator serves as the subject matter expert for the leave program.
This role is responsible for the benefits and leave of absence processes within the Benefits Team in Canada as outlined below:
•LOA administration
•LOA claims administration support
•SME for LOA questions for associates, managers and HR
•Benefits administration
•New hire enrollments, terminations and QLEs (currently manual)
•Invoice Processing
•2024 Open Enrollment facilitation
•Vendor management
•Retirement plan administration
•Day to Day plan administration for the RRSP and pension plan
•Monthly enrollment process for retirement plans.

Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot leave related issues using critical thinking and root cause analysis
- Administer direct bill process for associates on leave of absence
- Perform internal data validation and auditing of leave claims and associated status
- Identify opportunities for process improvement/strategy and make recommendations as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Manage leave related data in all systems of record (Third Party Administrator (TPA) and Acosta) and ensure accuracy
- Manage inquiries in ticketing system and ensure responsiveness aligned with defined expectations
- Provide assistance and partner closely with internal and external stakeholders such as human resources, managers and associates
- Manage leave related documents such as policies, plan documents and process documents and in compliance with federal, state and local laws.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- HR Certification preferred
- Associate degree preferred
Work Experience Requirements:
- Proven success working with others on a team as well as with distributed cross functional teams in an enterprise environment.
- General knowledge of group benefits
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with ADP systems
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Some experience may be substituted for some of the above education.
- Experience working with 3rd party leave administrators

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Strong knowledge of leave of absence
- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information
