Job Description
This role is based in Toronto, Canada, candidates must already be in Canada, SEMP are unable to offer any sponsorship or relocation.


The role is initially to cover Maternity leave for a period of 12 months, however, as SEMP is a growing business, we envisage that there is the potential for it to become permanent at the end of the contract.


About You


  • Ideally based in Toronto, to enable close working relationships with the Marketing Team members.
  • Proven 3-5 years of experience in Marketing Management within the engineering consultancy or related industry, with a preference for rail industry experience.

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field or relevant experience.

Overview


Working closely with the Exec Team, you will support the strategic growth of the company in existing and new markets, including Canada/North America, UK, the Middle East, and Australia, as we grow our engineering consultancy and launch a new digital product.

Responsibilities


Marketing Management


  • Organize and attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions (domestically and international), including:
  • Promoting company attendance at events
  • Plan with the exec team existing and innovative marketing activities.
  • Organize meetings
  • Lead & deal tracking using the CRM system in coordination with the Bid/Business
  • Measurement of all marketing activity, such as social media presence, advertisements, recruitment drives, measuring marketing outcomes to increase the efficiency of marketing activities within the company.
  • Return on investment analysis.
  • Suggest activities to raise profile of exec team within the industry
  • Company profiles
  • Case studies
  • Sponsorships
  • Employee attendee list and registration
  • Corporate videos
  • Business cards (paper & digital)
  • Develop understanding of potential JV/consortium partners’ and competitors’ USPs and capability gaps and how SEMP’s offering complements or compares, respectively.
  • Brochures
  • Logistics
  • Develop and understanding of industry challenges/trends and clients’ needs to ensure messaging and content is appropriately aligned.
  • Arranging speaking opportunities for Executive Team and SMEs (including submitting abstracts by deadlines)
  • Coordinating written content (papers, insight pieces) by Exec Team and SMEs
  • Manage, evaluate, and recommend improvements for marketing campaigns, including solutions and budgetary requirements.
  • Website content and updates
  • Any further needs as required for business development and bids/proposals
  • Social media channels
  • Review professional organization membership benefits to ensure the company is taking full advantage.
  • Diagrams, graphics, and other artwork
  • Manage suppliers, freelancers, and outsourced resource (graphic designers, creative agencies)
  • Stand design & pricing
  • Creating supporting marketing material
  • Marketing collateral and content production, updating, and rebranding, including:
  • With the support of the exec team, develop the marketing strategy, process, and channels.
  • Webinars
  • Development Team Networking events – identifying events and employee attendees to raise company profile and build connections.
  • Hotel & flight bookings


Internal Communications


  • Distribute active hiring list, as needed
  • Updating company SharePoint intranet page
  • Manage Communications inbox
  • Set up quarterly internal team briefing sessions and coordinate the slide deck content


Brand


  • Manage the consistency of all communication assets, internal and external ((reports, email signatures, slide decks, diagrams, resumes, reports, proposals), ensuring that all assets align to the SEMP corporate style guides.
  • Create new or updating existing templates, where necessary.


SaaS Product Marketing


  • Manage the development and content of a new product website.
  • Drive the development of new marketing collateral and content.
  • Develop an understanding of the key benefits and features, and the different key market segments
  • Identify relevant trade publications for articles and advertising.
  • Campaign management


Working Model


At SEMP, we offer a hybrid working model, with the expectation to attend the offices in Toronto depending upon business requirements.


Salary


The salary is dependant upon experience in the range of $60,000 - $95,000.
