Associate Director, Finance, Investor Services Performance Management

The Associate Director of Investor Services (‘IS’) Performance Management forms a key part of the IS Advisory Finance team and will be responsible for the execution of performance management deliverables, strategic analysis as well as business partnering responsibilities. This role is responsible for delivering reporting and analytics related to the product

profitability model after model is run by the Finance Transformation team. This role will be critical in enabling the business to meet its strategic objectives. By demonstrating leadership; you will be able to impact and drive change, have an influential impact across the business and CFO group. The role will support month-end analysis and benchmarking activities, act as a liaison to cross-functional stakeholders ensuring key product profitability analysis and variance explanations are provided to business and finance partners. You will be expected to demonstrate strong collaboration with partners across the IS business, IT, PMO, and Functions, whilst supporting an owner-operator mindset, focus on return on investment, cost transparency, partner enablement, and data-driven decision-making culture.

Primary Responsibilities

• Facilitate the governance process for transit allocation changes and proactively communicate any transit updates to the Finance Transformation Team to ensure that the allocation model remains up-to-date
• Responsible for the delivery of monthly and quarterly performance management reporting, including key metrics, insightful product profitability analysis and recommendations on business performance, escalation of issues/key trends. Findings to be communicated to senior management and key stakeholders in Investor Services.
• Proactively develop, monitor, and message key performance metrics (financial and non-financial) including, but not limited to, model-based outputs.
• Build upon strong stakeholder relationships to support performance management requirements and enhance cross-unit collaboration capabilities.
• Oversee and support business stakeholders in product-related changes, development of strategic initiatives and deep-dives cost transparency.
• Provide insightful and actionable analysis of Investor Services results and work on complex presentations (in most cases based on financial modelling exercises) to support executive decision-making, product-related changes and development of roadmaps.
• Responsible for the development of insightful analysis and actionable information working directly and indirectly with business leaders, the IS COO/ Strategy team, Product Management, Client Operations, Data Office, and senior staff in the execution of forward-looking Canada performance.
• Enhance and develop value-add analysis and reporting (both BAU and ad hoc) for Senior Management, with emphasis on cost transparency, business P&L decomposition and core commentary analysis.
• Support finance transformation team initiatives focused on client and product profitability, automation projects with the Strategy team / Digital Management Office (DMO) including the develop of Tableau dashboards to assist with self-serve financial reporting
• Support build out of analytical capabilities and performance management tools for both forecasting and analytics purposes. Analyze key performance drivers and correlate external market factors to produce value-added insights in driving business performance and senior management insights.
• Responsible for coordinating and vetting the monthly and annual attestation of all Investor Services allocations, including review of any internal RBC allocations that impact Investor Services product profitability. Work with business units to ensure allocations are accurate and up to date.
• Ensure that key business strategies and initiatives are well understood, supported, and embedded into financial reports, including tracking of benefits versus business case targets.

• Accounting designation or equivalent degree with post qualification experience of at least 5 years
