Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team during an exciting phase of expansion as we plan to open 3x brick and mortar locations within the coming year.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a customer-oriented approach, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to our guests.
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for supervising daily operations, motivating and engaging staff, monitoring staff performance, performing cash out procedures, providing support in all facets of Front of House operations, addressing and resolving guest complaints and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.
This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package (after 3 month probationary period).
Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations, including managing staff activities and ensuring exceptional service standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue targets.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records including supplier invoices and overseeing basic accounting tasks including safe counts and cash out procedures.
• Collaborate with both the kitchen and front of house teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of orders, while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
• Providing support to all members of the Front of House team during service to ensure guest experience satisfaction.
• Posess ability to problem solve and resolve conflicts by investigating and addressingv guest complaints and issues with service.
• Providing support for daily operational duties including inventory management, P & L reporting, and other related administrative and/or clerical duties.
• Providing innovative ideas to enhance the customer experience and improve operational efficiencies.
• Representing and promoting the brand image of the company by demonstrating professionalism and courteous respect to both staff and guests at all times.
• Maintaining both restaurant cleanliness standards as well as staff appearance and attire standards.
• Reinforcing and adhering to all company policies and best practices with respect to restaurant operations. Includes holding staff accountable for their duties and disciplining them when need be.
• Adhering to all workplace policies set out by federal/provincial/municipal guidelines especially when it comes to workplace safety.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3  years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years of Restaurant experience preferably in a progressive management role.
• Smart Serve certification and knowledge of compliance of all guidelines set out by the AGCO.
• Accredited Food Handlers certification required.
• Posess knowledge on spirits, cocktails, basic mixology, beer and wine. Possession of WSET or any accredited wine knowledge certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Possess an exceptional grasp of the fundamental concept of hospitality while demonstrating a passionate commitment to interacting with guests to ensure the highest level of satisfaction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Must be available to work mornings, afternoons, and nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Experience and proficiency with usage of point-of-sale systems especially Silverware and Clover as well as Open Table reservation management app.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution. Degree or diploma in the fields of either business, marketing, and/or hospitality preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk on feet for extended periods of time during shift while being able to lift 50lbs or more.
