Assistant Product Manager Jobs

We're currently looking to hire an Assistant Product Manager who will be responsible for providing general assistance to the Product Manager with the tactical execution of corporate and marketing plans, strategies, and projects. The role will assist in the improvement of an existing products marketing campaigns or developing new products fit for the company.

What You Will Get to Do:

• Creation of product specifications for new products and providing an analysis of sales and category reports
• Creation and review of packaging, label design/copy and artworks
• Creation and analysis of sales and category reports and assist in the updating of internal project status reports
• Support and execute on key strategies to develop and commercialize new product lines.
• Management and analysis of new products costing
• Conducts purchase order submissions and record keeping
• Help in identifying the target audience of a product and check the efficiency of the implemented product development and marketing strategies
• Participation in new product sensory tastings and part of the plant trial team and first production runs where require.
• Support review and rationalization of product lines
• Maintenance of existing product lines
• Support key tasks involved in the management of product lines. Support marketing, sales and production; around key decisions, and ensuring that the quality and strengths of the product are not compromised
• Development of marketing materials for internal & external reference e.g. brochures, sell sheets, product photography, launch presentations, product manuals

Recipe for Success:

• Strong interpersonal skills with clear communications (verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• A self-starter with the ability to identify projects, solutions
• Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Excellent organizational skills in order to meet tight deadlines
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Product Marketing role
• Completion of a university degree or college diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related field
• Requires experience creating marketing and selling materials (brochures, sell sheets, website and social media content, presentations)
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve
• Previous marketing experience in food and/or bakery environment is preferred
• Previous experience working with Adobe Acrobat and Creative Suite
• Solid understanding of urgency in responding to internal (other departments) and external (suppliers, agencies, customers) partners
