Area Sales Manager Automation

Our client, an Industrial Automation Supplier, is looking to hire an Area Sales Manager. They specialize in factory automation, process automation, safety technology, robotics, motion control, sensor technology, industrial control, communications and networking. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

• Travel within an assigned sales territory to meet with existing and potential customers in person.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and attend trade shows and events as needed.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers to close sales.
• Communication and Network, Motion Control, Industrial Controls, Sensors and Vision, Machine Safety, control systems, factory automation solutions
• Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for each state in support of regional objectives.
• Build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide solutions to meet those needs.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations of our products and services.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and services
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships withnew and existing customers within a sales territory
• Provide accurate and timely sales reports to management
• Meet and exceed sales goals by effectively communicating the benefits of our products to potential customers.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through networking, cold-calling, and other means.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of industrial automation and controls.
• On Target Earnings (OTE): 110k 130K
• Effective negotiation skills.
• 3+ years of outside sales experience in the Industrial Factory automation sector.
• Excellent customer service abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is considered an advantage.
• Excellent presentation and negotiating skills.
• Ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills (electrical / mechanical) and hold a technical diploma/degree
• Capability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Excellent consultative sales abilities.
• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
