Role Summary:

As an Area Manager you are the face of the company in your region and a critical part of this role is supporting partners including LEPs/CAs/LAs and others through effective stakeholder management. Engaging local stakeholders to empower and enable the Network of Careers Hubs in your region and being the voice of your region in the company.

As the primary relationship holder for key partners across the region you will be proactive in identifying risks, have the ability to deal with potential conflicts and deploy strategies to resolve them.  The Area Manager should be proactive in determining what is needed by each local area and act accordingly, making the Company aware of local needs and solutions. The post is home based but will require travel on a regular basis across the geographic area and to the CEC offices in London on a regular basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with local partners enabling them to transform outcomes for young people.

Essential Criteria:

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Analysis and problem solving.
• Significant experience of relationship management with evidence of positive impact and achieving outcomes, including conflict and resolution management.
• Innovation, driving progress and change.
• Project and delivery management.
• Track record of contract management, including experience of identifying, escalating and resolving risk
• Significant experience of managing a wide range of stakeholders with a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of education, business and enterprise landscape, including policy relating to skills and economic growth.
