Job Description
Position Overview
Under the guidance of the Walmart Customer Business Development Senior Manager and in collaboration with the Customer Business Development Director, the Analyst will be responsible for providing on going and ad hoc analytical support to the CBD team to deliver business goals and support account needs. Works collaboratively with the team to identify and maximize the business opportunities in-store and online. Primary focus will be toward optimizing investment of programs though efficiency and efficacy analysis and providing in-depth POS performance insights for our business. This role is also responsible for delivering key competitive and category insights through retail data analytics. Analyst must be able to distill data into digestible, easy to understand formats for internal and external presentations.
Major Duties
  • Analyze inventory performance.
  • Seek opportunities to develop process improvements to positively impact service levels and reduce fines.
  • Review item and store level traiting issues and work towards resolutions.
  • Proactive analysis and extraction of key information.
  • Manage in-stock and other key Revlon and customer KPI’s.
  • Interpretation of data to identify sales trends and their implications.
  • Assist in ad-hoc problem solving by identifying root causes and engaging key stakeholders (both internal and external) to create win-win solutions.
  • Assume responsibility for replenishment forecast updates for all customer listings.
  • Track and maintain customer in-stock levels and targeted weeks of supply to ensure alignment with internal and external departments through the use of inventory efficiency strategies such as DD's, PBl's, and other decision support tools such as GRS reporting.
  • Create and manage reporting related to all sales and inventory metrics for optimal decision-making purposes - weekly, monthly and annually.
  • Track and analyze NPD vs. deleted SKU performance.
  • Actualize sales results for Rollback and Multibuy events.
  • Prepare scripting as needed.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning and replenishment teams to identify changes - including distribution, Rollback / Multisave activity and SKU in-stock & out of stock opportunities that may impact forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities and risks to plan and report out in Demand Meetings.
  • Ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Utilize Retail Link and Revlon Master Item Data to maintain customer data integrity.
  • Track and analyze store distribution and POG changes.
  • Monitor weekly orders, inventory reporting, and help to resolve any issues hindering order processing in collaboration with the Customer Logistics team, Director, and Senior Manager.
  • Provide support and analysis for Business Plans.
Education & Experience
  • 3-5 years related business experience within the CPG industry; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Background in cosmetics or other sku intensive category preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Operates with excellence; strong drive for accuracy and flawless execution; high level of attention to detail and accuracy, and process orientation.
  • Strong customer focus, with the ability to understand key business drivers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to set goals and prioritize among many important projects to meet deadlines.
  • Creative, out of the box, dynamic and forward-thinking individual with a demonstrated drive and passion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Is self-motivated & exhibits drive and passion in a fast-paced environment.
