Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in related field (e.g. Transportation Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resources, Labour Relations) or the equivalent experience/education.

5-10 years progressively responsible experience in public transportation services.

Knowledge of provincial and federal regulations related to transit services.

Leadership experience in a unionized environment, with specific experience in labor relations, contract negotiations an asset.

Excellent report writing and experience in communications (public speaking) an asset.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, database programs.

Sound knowledge of transit systems operations, asset management practices and contract administration;

Experience in contract administration and claims management an asset;

Compile and develop systems for electronic data management that is consistent and efficient;

Facilitate the development of solutions throughout the procurement process through positive working relationships with Legal, Finance, Risk and technical teams;

Must be bilingual in French and possess both strong speaking and written French communication skills;

Experience on large infrastructure projects at a senior level working with senior government officials and stakeholders;

Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including experience making presentations to senior management, elected officials and the public;

Strong business development and client management skills, scheduling techniques, and budget development;

Prepare project work plans and schedules, and obtain management/client approval;

Analyze project management and project delivery risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigating action;

Manage multi-disciplinary teams of Project Managers, Engineers, Planners, Designers, Inspectors, and other staff as required;

A University Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred) with 5+ years experience;

Five (5) Years management experience in a safety and training /or occupational health & safety role, or training preferably in transportation

Works with staff and management to develop a proactive approach to safety problems while fostering positive employee relationships and morale

Sets the tone for ensuring all operators are current with training requirements of the company and client contract

Oversees corporate safety incentives and programs are managed effectively and consistently

Identifies, selects, trains, coaches and manages the performance of safety team

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, with 3-5 years’ experience in Standards Development or Project Management.

Designation as a Certified Project Management Professional, or equivalent designation/ experience is an asset.

Overseeing all aspects of the standards development process, primarily involving the management of multiple Canadian, US, and international standards development committees.

Competency with major Microsoft and Project Management software.

Determines and manages the resources required to complete a project, and ensures deliverables are met.

Executive and stakeholder relationship development and management

Consulting services for best practices, risk management, cost control, and commercial decisions

Creation and management of delivery schedules and complex project and relationship management at the most senior levels

Negotiate critical roadmap requirements with internal teams and scope new opportunities with business development and account managers

Assess project and executive risk to implement controls, communication, and risk management strategies

Program manage complex technical solutions in transportation and MaaS, including custom solutions

Must have post-secondary diploma/degree in Business/Transportation/Management or related field and/or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and direct experience in related discipline.

Provide direction to the Training team to effectively manage new operator recruitment and refresher programs while prioritizing talent management principles.

Experience with managing labour and employee issues is critical. Must have strong/proven negotiations skills.

Excellent time management and organizational ability.

Proficient computer skills and strong working knowledge of the current ATU Collective Agreement.

Strong working knowledge of all relevant legislation including ESA, OHR, WSIB, OHSA, HTA and Operator licensing requirements.

5+ years of experience in project management and a proven track record of successful project delivery within budget and on schedule

Strong leadership and management skills, ability to manage a team of 10-15 scientists, analysts, and researchers

Familiarity with project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera, and PMIS

Meet with potential clients and document client needs, developing an offering that meets and exceeds those needs in a timely manner

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate complex ideas to different audiences and build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors

Knowledge of the transportation industry, particularly in zero-emissions transit, and understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this field.

Proven leadership experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. Works effectively in a cross-functional setting, excellent communication skills

Experience in applying various Requirements Management tools for the successful delivery of projects (e.g. DOORS)

In-depth knowledge of requirement management best practices, including traceability, acceptance criteria and change control.

Accountable for the development of the Requirements Management Approach and associated plans/processes

Accountable for management of the requirements baseline through the life of the project and the system, including change control

Undergraduate degree in construction management, civil engineering or relevant field experience

Monthly and quarterly reporting on financial and overall performance of project to Senior Management

5+ years’ hands on leadership experience in a construction company

Experience in working within a joint venture setting during preconstruction and construction phases

Evidence of exceptional leadership skills and ability to influence, mentor and coach

Providing safety leadership through implementation of the safety program and monitoring safety performance of project team and subcontractors

Design Management experience on LRT projects within Canada

Coordinating Quality Control of all deliverable submittals in accordance with GHD’s Quality Management System

Ensure fluid communication between the project management team, the design team, construction team and the various internal and external partners

Project Delivery in an alternate project delivery (P3, DB), and experience in leading design team arrangements with contractors and consultants

Knowledge of scheduling software and engineering and capital cost estimating techniques is a definite asset.

Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) on multi-discipline projects
