The incumbent inputs and verifies all student international wire transfers, interacting with departments and bank to ensure accuracy.

Inputting and updating banking information for vendors and students.

Downloading daily Interac reports and identifying any cancellations.

Following up on all E-transfer queries including validating those that have been cancelled and reissue as required. Reconcile monthly bank statement.

Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with the financial policies and procedures

Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data

Ensure that receivables are collected promptly

Record cash receipts and make bank deposits

Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements

Follow up and ensure timely receipt of customer purchase orders to enable billing and payment

Support Property Managers in timely rent collection and postings

1+ years of related administrative experience

Knowledge of best practice related to residential leasing

Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and Landlord Tenant Board would be an asset

Experience with Yardi would be an asset

Manage portfolio assigned to reduce past dues and provide updates to manager.

Contact customers to secure payment, follow up on overdue balances.

Maintain detailed online documentation of collection action taken and correspondence between customer (external and internal) regarding issues impacting payment.

Prioritize efforts and determine the most effective means of collections (phone calls vs emails)

Back up for Cash application responsibilities such as Customer’s Cheques and EFT deposits.

Experience in a business-to-business environment preferred.

At least one year of collections and call center experience an asset

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Manage the entire order to cash process including customer invoicing.
