We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer-centric approach, and we are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk who mirrors this philosophy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our customers' experiences with our billing processes are smooth, understandable, and hassle-free.
Responsibilities:
·Offer exceptional customer service to every client as part of their overall experience with SWS and ensuring customer satisfaction.
·Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date billing system and customer records.
·Generate and send out invoices, follow up on, collect, and allocate payments in a timely manner.
·Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
·Engage with clients on any invoice discrepancies, clarifications, or queries, always prioritizing clear, empathetic, and proactive communication.
·Flag any potential collection issues, approaching such cases with sensitivity and understanding, after first working with the client to find a mutually beneficial solution.
·Assist in the maintenance and controls of accounting systems, transactions and records within the ERP system to ensure compliance with internal control policies.
·Assist with preparing and supporting year-end audit and any other audit/tax return requirements.
·Perform period close to meet assigned tasks and deadlines.
·Collaborate with the team to achieve goals, offering insights, feedback, and opportunities on how to enhance our AR processes, aligning them with our customer-centric values.
·Regularly report on AR metrics, ensuring that client satisfaction remains a core component of our performance evaluation.
·Provide back-up duties for Accounts Payable.
Qualifications:
·Degree in Finance, Accounting, a related field or equivalent experience.
·Minimum of 2 years' experience in Accounts Receivable would be an asset.
·Strong knowledge of billing and financial concepts.
·Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
·Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Empathetic and patient with clients, actively listening to understand their perspective and needs.
·Ability to work in and adapt to a fast-paced environment with varying client needs.
·Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software is an asset.
