Position: Accounts Receivable (Part-Time)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Reports to: Finance Coordinator / General Manager

Summary

Founded in 1985, Adaptall is a manufacturer and supplier of Hydraulic Metric/British Fittings & Adapters with facilities in Pickering and Mississauga, Ontario; Houston, Texas; and Twinsburg, Ohio. The Accounts Receivable position is responsible for the day-to-day accounts receivable tasks for USA and Canada operations.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain A/R lists
• Release orders that go on credit hold
• Reconcile credit card, EFT/ACH, and cheque payments and apply payments to customer accounts
• Other duties as required
• Reconcile A/R sub ledger to A/R control account
• Collections (email, phone)
• Handle credit reference requests
• Apply credits from returns (RGAs)
• Invoicing, transfers and drop ships.
• Phone coverage during lunch hour and back up assistance.
• Maintaining credit limits
• Deposits / Apply payments to customer accounts

Requirements & Qualifications

• Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively deal with co-workers and couriers/carriers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience
• Basic computer knowledge
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Post secondary education in a related field preferred
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Organized and strong attention to detail
• Basic accounting skills
• Good command of English
