Mechanical Production Supervisor Jobs

Post-secondary education in Food Sciences, Dairy Technology, Microbiology, or other related education/experience would be an asset.

Schedules equipment and personnel to ensure production requirements are met on a timely basis.

Supervise and plan production by coordinating with our individual department Lead Hands and Inside Sales.

5+ years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and years of experience) in canola crushing or related and applicable activities.

Provide input to the Crush Production Manager and/or Plant Manager to plan annual shutdowns.

Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of crush in all aspects.

3-5 years of relevant supervisory experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting

Examine and suggest modifications to the production processes, machinery, and other tools and equipment.

Record and/or notify the Plant/Production Superintendent and Quality Supervisor of any product damage or non-conformities.

Comply with the policies and procedures for quality control

Post-secondary education in engineering technology or business management program or equivalent industry experience.

Speak with managers and supervisors to explain progress of jobs and to obtain instructions and tasks.

Teach employees and less experienced workers to install new equipment, perform maintenance tasks and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.

High School Diploma or equivalent general education.

Journeyman/woman trade certification in related field considered an asset.

Minimum three years of machine shop experience and supervision experience considered an asset.
