Junior Bridge Designer Jobs

Minimum three (3) years of bridge work experience

Minimum two (2) years of road maintenance and/or construction experience

Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role

Valid Certificate of Qualification in the trade of Piledriver and Bridgeman issued by the Province of BC Ministry of Labour

1-2 years’ experience in design or strong internship equivalent

Experience on bridge projects and understanding of steel reinforcing detailing would be considered a strong asset;

Knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Inventor, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Rhino is an asset;

Additional ad hoc duties, such as assisting the design engineers with short term and immediate requirements.

Have between one (1) and three (3) years of experience working with a multidisciplinary design consultancy;

Experience in structural CAD design; modelling and detailing;

Knowledge of bridge structures, MicroStation, Revit, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Inventor, is an asset;

Experience in multi-discipline collaboration between Autodesk & Bentley products is an asset;

Excellent written, and verbal communication skills;

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bridge Foreman, or proven maintenance experience with bridges and associated components

5 years of railroad experience*

5 years of experience in Bridges and Structures functions*

Experience with SAP-EPI and asset databases such as BCS*

Any experience for these above would be considered as an asset

Good knowledge of bridge construction, components and standard practices

Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for the successful completion of tasks

Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with different personalities

Strong computer design skills, the ability to learn new software packages efficiently, and retain and apply on-the-job training

Prior Distribution system industry experience is preferred but not required

Creative, innovative, and driven - Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Coordinate across phases of furniture projects, including:

Liaise with suppliers, vendors and trades, as well as clients as needed

Organize samples and documents, filing in respective project bins/binders

Interior Design Degree (or related field of study) from a recognized institution

Minimum 2 years working in a recognized Interior Design firm (Residential or Hospitality)

- Other responsibilities - as determined on an individual project basis

- Prepare 3D models and renderings for design study using Sketchup or equivalent

- Prepare Diagrams and coordinate Submission Booklets

- Develop site context analyses and drawings

- Develop and/or update base drawings using Vectorworks

- “Pick-ups” on drawings redlined by more senior staff members

Knowledge of current and on-trend graphic design

Experience working on social media project is a plus

Create case study projects across all divisions (Thinkingbox, The Heist, AntiSocial)

Presentation design and creating assets for marketing and social media using Figma and the core host of the Adobe Suite

Define the look and feel for a variety of marketing projects from Case Studies to social assets

Contribute ideas and on-trend, design pixel perfect artwork, and assets from mood boards through to final delivery
