Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Bridge Designer to join the Project Delivery Group (PDG) Structural team at our Mississauga, Ontario location.

As The Successful Candidate, You Will

• Develop structural engineer’s concepts into accurate drawings and models, through direct communications; working with proficiency in AutoCAD;
• Produce structural drawings, models and contract documents for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign supports design;
• Additional ad hoc duties, such as assisting the design engineers with short term and immediate requirements.
• Work with project managers and technical design staff involved on a range of small to large projects as part of our infrastructure team;

You Bring To The Role

• Excellent written, and verbal communication skills;
• Diploma in Structural Technology or related field from an accredited institution;
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required;
• Experience in multi-discipline collaboration between Autodesk & Bentley products is an asset;
• Have between one (1) and three (3) years of experience working with a multidisciplinary design consultancy;
• Interest with future technologies and its implementation with BIM;
• Knowledge of bridge structures, MicroStation, Revit, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Inventor, is an asset;
• Capability to work to deadlines and work independently when required;
• Ability to work on a number of projects at the same time and maintain high quality output;
• Experience in structural CAD design; modelling and detailing;
• Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethic.
