Our dynamic, quickly-growing label is seeking a creative, focused and highly self-motivatedjunior designerto join our Brampton-based studio.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Junior Designer who will work closely with the Creative Director to develop, design, prototype and deliver the highest quality products. This includes: design development, research and communication to our talented makers to ensure a smooth transition to production.

You will play a key role in taking products from sketch to sample to bulk delivery.

Our Junior designer must possess an excellentsense of taste, strong organizational and communication skills as well as an extremely creative eye and outlook.

This role is 3-4 days a week based at our Downtown Brampton studio. It offers an exciting opportunity to grow with the brand in a positive, inspirational studioenvironment.

Responsibilities

• Meet and maintain all production deadlines and quality control standards for all products
• Research new industry technology, fabrics, trims and applications
• Support creative process from start to finish and ensure accurate delivery of all collections
• Create and maintain seasonal boards with inspirations, trials, sketches and garment concepts
• Create and maintain organizational production tools including but not limited to: cost landed sheets, wholesale line sheets and range plans
• Research and Develop products based on 4YE specifications while also providing insight and solutions to the production process
• Create production ready technical packages including: specs, measurements, and construction details
• Lead regular communication with suppliers in order to ensure an impeccable and timely delivery of production — maintain and assess relationships with suppliers while also searching for competitive pricing
• Lead product meetings; conduct fittings in order to ensure smooth pass off to suppliers
• Report on colour stories, market trends and key products
• Proactively identify potential issues and propose solutions for process challenges in order to execute more efficient and higher quality goods in sampling and production stages

Qualifications

• Organizational skills and experience managing multiple folders and documents
• Good technical knowledge in construction, pattern cutting, fabrications, trimmings, knitting, notions and wash treatments
• Great ability in creating CAD's and digital drawings with technical specifications
• 1 – 2 years experience workingas a junior or assistant designer ideally at a like-minded brand
• Proficiency in Excel, Adobe Suite programs including Illustrator, Photoshop and inDesign
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously with short deadlines
• A genuine interest and understanding for 4YE brand and ethos
• Team-player with impeccable communication, willingtoprovide hands-on support to cross functional teams
• Extensive experience in creating detailed Tech Packs, Linesheets and other production documents
