Job Description

Glistco Ltd. is an engineering and manufacturer company focused on gaming enhancement accessories. We design and create custom products for brands such as Oculus, PlayStation, and XBOX.

We are seeking a talented, passionate, and driven Industrial Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to create unique designs and have knowledge of design software's used to create organic products.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimization of g-codes for 3D printers
  • Support the creation of detailed manufacturing instructions for production staff and supplier
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that project information is being properly communicated
  • Prototyping new products
  • Communicate with team to ensure everyone is one track with design projects
  • Ensuring designs and technical drawings are detailed and up to industry standards
  • Take initiative to determine inefficiencies in current design and manufacturing systems
  • Using lean manufacturing principles to optimize current production methods for new and existing projects
  • Presenting new project design drafts to senior staff

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Familiarity and experience with CAD Software such as: Autodesk, Fusion 360, Solidworks etc.
  • Experience with product design and manufacturing
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication
  • Experience with Injection Moulding
  • Understanding CNC machining
  • Experience with SLA and DLP Resin Printing is an asset

Requirements

  • Strong organization skills, able to handle multiple projects
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Diploma in CAD/CAM
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; working collaboratively with others and communicating goals and objectives during self-directed and independent work
