Junior Bridge Designer Jobs

Perform inspections of bridges and other structures

Assist in preparing design calculations, drawings, and cost estimates

Support creative process from start to finish and ensure accurate delivery of all collections

Research and Develop products based on 4YE specifications while also providing insight and solutions to the production process

Knowledge of project management principles and practices is an asset

Create and modify electrical, instrumentation, and controls design drawings using AutoCAD to comply to client standards, and meet quality requirements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Assist with the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation for electrical and instrumentation projects

Collaborate with engineers and other designers to ensure design accuracy and functionality

Assist with the preparation of project estimates and schedules

Relevant experience in workplace interior design or architecture

Training, Personal Development and Conference allowances

Deeply involved in the drafting and creation of all project permitting, design development, and construction documentation.

Responsible for selecting and considering building materials, finishes etc.

Creating presentation boards, renderings, and drawings using various design tools including but not limited to Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, etc.

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design or another related field preferred

2-5 years minimum industry experience is required

An understanding in 3D design would be a benefit

Translate concepts or requirements into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes;

Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other designers to define and implement UI designs for web and mobile applications.

Minimum 1 year of practical experience working in design.

Strong communication skills and the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript is a plus.

Writing multiple choice items and maintain question banks to create Supporting Knowledge Exams (SKE)

Generating Performance Checks (PCs) from the Job Based Occupational Specification (JBOS) and Qualification Standard

Experience in the TRAFFIC (movement of personnel and material) trade

Reviewing productive hours and instructor calculations submitted by training Squadrons to ensure conformity with current TPs and School Work Instructions

Developing assessment plans for SKEs

Generating examinations from assessment plans

Excellent communication, problem solving and organization skills

Minimum 2 years of design industry experience

Prepare drawing packages, including floor plans, elevations, renderings and schedules

Prepare estimates and client proposals

Assist with presentation and concept board preparation

Source samples and maintain vendor relationships

Previous experience within a similar role is essential with a minimum 2-3 year’s industry experience

Experience in a creative role with a leading retail design agency or in-house design team

Proven experience at all stages of the design process, from conception through to implementation

Strong communication and presentation skills

Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to manage own workload to deadlines

High level proficiency AutoCAD with working knowledge of how to build dynamic blocks

Working knowledge and experience with MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.)

Review and adapt our designs based on changes to fabrication facility capabilities

Actively support continuous improvement and product improvement initiatives through interactions with local and remote team members

0-5 years experience in a similar role

Previous experience using 3D Modeling and drafting software to produce manufacturing drawings

C.E.T. certification or registration as an EIT would be an asset

0-2 years of interior design experience of varying project types

Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting

Work with other designers to generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction

Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school

Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other modeling software programs
