Junior Designer Jobs

As a part of our design team, you’ll be instrumental in how the world sees our clients.You’ll quickly learn how to design for our clients and internally for Avenue products, refine your design process, and have an impact on the lives of real estate professionals across North America. What You'll Do

• You’ll understand the needs of a client and translate that into a beautiful website.
• Participate in company-wide product and process ideation.
• Contribute to the growth of our team by participating in critiques and feedback sessions.
• Help us evolve the quality of design across an entire industry.
• Become an expert in using our custom WordPress builder to efficiently build sites.
• Gain an understanding of design in the real estate industry.

About You

• An adaptor to change, you work well in an ever-shifting, multi-priority startup environment. Amidst distractions you have the ability to navigate from task to task, making sure nothing gets missed.
• You’ve always had an eye for the aesthetic and you know how to put it to work. You feel at home with Adobe Software and Sketch/Figma. Having some experience with After Effects and Adobe Premiere certainly doesn’t hurt.
• A collaborator, you share input and incorporate feedback every chance you get. You seek out ways you can add value and help teammates, regardless of whether it’s part of your job.
• A do-er, you thrive in taking ideas, yours and your team’s, from inception to completion.
• Keen interest in design principles / best practices and applying them to your work.
• Knowledge or interest in HTML and CSS is a bonus.

About Avenue

Avenue is a distributed, fully remote organization. We transitioned to this way of working in 2020 (like everyone else!) but haven’t looked back since and plan to remain so permanently. Asynchronous communication and flexible hours let us schedule our days to do our best work without missing out on life’s important moments.

Avenue grew out of a need we saw in the real estate industry. All of the REALTORS® we knew put in hours of screen time each week online, trying to manage the many moving parts that made up their personal marketing. They wanted to attract new clients, but they weren’t getting the results they wanted. As a team of marketers, engineers, and designers, we saw how our respective skill sets could work together to solve this problem. We could give Realtors what they’d never had before: The chance to market themselves online, and stand out—supported by the knowledge and tools only a team of experts could provide.
