Minimum 2 years’ kitchen experience serving

Experience with adult education, workplace training or online teaching would be considered an asset.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage projects independently.

Post-secondary training in education, French, linguistics, or related field.

Considerable, recent experience teaching French as a first or second language.

Experience performing language evaluations would be considered an asset.

5 years machine shop experience and/or have completed a recognized apprenticeship as a General Machinist.

Must be able to demonstrate General Machinist skills in one of the following areas:

Experience operating forklifts, cranes, plate clamps and slings

Experience working with CNC machines- Fanuc controls and Heidenhain controls

Determining how to set up and operate machines based on instructions received.

Performing minor repairs of equipment

Learn and develop skills with an experienced testing team

Knowledge of common technological terms in English and/or target language

Strong practical knowledge of computers and mobile devices, Microsoft Office suite (or equivalent MAC or OpenOffice) and various browsers.

Basic knowledge of smart phones (iPhone or Android)

Localization QA experience is preferred

Gain hands-on experience in the world of localization

Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.

Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.

Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.

Ability to work a variety of shifts that may include days, evening, weekends, holidays.

Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities

Understand the legal responsibilities and moral imperative to report suspected child abuse to Child Protection Services.

Experience in teaching FSL to adults is mandatory (minimum 300 hours within the last 2 years in Canada)

Knowledge of CLB demonstrated through use of and/or participation in CLB workshops

Training in second language acquisition, socio-cultural variables in language learning and the teaching of the four language skills.

Theoretical understanding of and practical experience working with appropriate stages of the Canadian Language Benchmarks/Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens.

Ability to quickly retain knowledge and skill
