Accounts Payable And Payroll Supervisor Jobs

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable role of which include 1-2 years of management experience.

Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Financial System

Above average Microsoft Office and computer skills

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team

Conduct team meetings and programs with team members on best practices and enhance skills and knowledge.

Manage the performance of the Accounts Payable team by providing timely feedback and ongoing coaching.

Develop strong relationships with other working groups in and outside of Finance to achieve objectives.

Minimum 5 years of accounts payable experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role

Post-secondary education, preferably in Business or Accounting

Significant experience with the management of collective agreements.

Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to work with tight deadlines.

Knowledge of current Canadian Legislative requirements and CRA regulations.

Oversees procedures and processes and manages inquiries and requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll

Knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage 300cre, Timberscan AP management system and the real estate development industry preferred

Administers the invoice management system (TimberScan) and the Company’s expense reporting and management system (SAP Concur).

Experience using SAGE50 will be an asset

Utilize accounting software on computers to record, store, and analyze financial information.

Review figures, postings, and documents to ensure accurate entry, mathematical precision, and proper coding by applying appropriate company procedures.

Calculate and prepare payment transactions.

2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role

Build systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments)

Collaborate with auditors and manage payroll tax audits

Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

5+ years of payroll experience

Previous experience in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

Manage administration of new hires and departures in benefits program

Leading process improvements within the Accounts Payable department and creating synergies across Development Projects and Income Producing Projects

Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel functions and experience with ERP system AP modules.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage and prioritize competing demands.

Manage automated Beanworks invoice system to review coding and post daily invoices.

Manage daily wires, and weekly EFTs and cheque runs.

Manage the preparation of monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.

Manage corporate credit cards, including setup and card holder inquiries.

Prior experience leading large AP teams with at least +3 years of prior supervisory or managerial experience

Leverage automation capabilities with the system to ensure optimal resource efficiency

Partner with Finance to build out cash flow forecasting as it pertains to payables for the upcoming fiscal year

Experience in shared service functions or centralizing of AP function is an asset

Experience with JDE or similar ERP system is an asset (i.e. SAP, Oracle, etc.)

University degree in Accounting or Finance is an asset

Excellent organizational and time management skills.
