Technical Analyst
Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Technical Analystto place at our client, a top 5 bank.
Client: Big Five Bank - Retail Banking
Contract: 6 months contract - can extend
Start Date: ASAP - 3 weeks from offer date
Work Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 9am-5pm EST
Location: Mostly remote, some network issues or team meetings require onsite commitments(not often), This is non negotiable, contractor needs to be willing to commute/ commit to site requirements

Role Mandate:
Technical support Analyst is Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made .
Role Responsibilities:
Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.
Advise Customer About, Or Perform, Maintenance Of Software System.
Must Have Skills:
Bachelors degree in computer science or relevant field required.
Entry Level To 2 Years Experience Required.
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
Knowledge of computer development software, such as SQL, Java, J2EE, etc.- Great understanding of how these tools work.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access (please feel free to submit a 3rd party test showing proficiency)
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous banking experience (STRONG NICE TO HAVE)
