DEPARTMENT: People and Technology

The People and Technology Department is comprised of three teams:


The People & Strategy team manages recruitment, employee benefits, compensation, job evaluation, policies and procedures, rewards and recognition, training, employee engagement initiatives and supports the culture at Doctors of BC. The People & Strategy team will also support questions and concerns regarding team work or work environment.


The Infrastructure team manages the physical assets of Doctors of BC related to the building, office equipment and maintenance of the building. The team also responds and provides resolution to any issues concerning office equipment, furniture and building maintenance. They also manage the internal and external mail, and take care of general office services and provide support to the tenants within the building.


The Information Technology team drives organizational change by providing technical solutions and training to the employees of Doctors of BC. It is a strategic business partner that further advances the interests of the organization through technology.


THE TEAM: People & Strategy

The People & Strategy team looks to support our employees across all stages of the employee lifecycle and elevate the employee experience. This includes managing full-cycle recruitment, job evaluation, policies & procedures employee compensation and benefits, rewards and recognition, learning & development, and employee engagement initiatives.

THE JOB: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manger, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a part of a collaborative team that strives to deliver an outstanding candidate experience. This role will support full cycle recruitment for entry-level to Senior level roles, administrative support related to posting jobs, scheduling interviews, preparing and processing offers and the onboarding of new hires in our HRIS system. Additionally the Talent Acquisition Specialist will proactively source candidates, build and manage talent pools using various channels to drive high-caliber candidates into the talent pipeline for high-volume, hard-to-fill and future needs.


This role is fast paced, ever evolving and challenging. The successful candidate will understand the road to success entails strong relationships, a passion for understand the business and the ability to create flexible and creative solutions to tackle recruitment through the lens of our organizational values.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Ability to work independently and in an team environment.
  • High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience sourcing and developing talent pipelines with a non-traditional recruitment focus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; persuasiveness with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with a high level of professionalism.
  • Experience sourcing quality candidates through tools like LinkedIn.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Effective writing skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication
  • Background in social media and/or employment branding is an asset.
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS systems. Experience with Ultipro is a plus!
  • Post-secondary education in human resources, plus experience in full cycle recruitment.
