Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Steel Detailer with proficiency in working with 3D models, Tekla software, and Bluebeam. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of5 years of experience in steel detailing, with a proven track record of accurately creating detailed drawings and models for both miscellaneous steel and structural steel projects. This role will be crucial in ensuring precise and efficient fabrication and construction processes.

Responsibilities:

3D Modeling and Detailing: Utilize Tekla software to create accurate 3D models of structural and miscellaneous steel components, including beams, columns, trusses, connections, stairs, handrails, and other relevant elements.

Prepare comprehensive and detailed fabrication and erection drawings based on the 3D models, adhering to industry standards, codes, and project specifications.

Collaborate with Engineers and Architects: Coordinate and communicate effectively with structural engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve design-related issues and ensure accuracy in the detailing process.

Conduct thorough reviews of own work to ensure precision and adherence to project requirements, ensuring minimal errors and potential clashes.

Use Bluebeam software to review, mark up, and collaborate on drawings and documents with the project team and other stakeholders.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and deadlines while maintaining the highest level of quality.

Provide support during the construction phase, answering queries from the construction team and assisting with on-site issues related to steel detailing.

Stay updated with industry trends, new software developments, and best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency in steel detailing processes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field is preferred, but extensive relevant experience will also be considered.

2. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Steel Detailer, with a demonstrated ability to handle complex projects.

3. Proficiency in using Tekla Structures software for 3D modeling and detailing of steel structures.

4. Strong expertise in working with both miscellaneous steel and structural steel components.

5. Experience using Bluebeam or similar software for document review and collaboration.

6. In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and industry practices related to steel detailing.

7. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a keen eye for identifying and resolving potential clashes or issues in the design.

8. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with project teams, engineers, architects, and construction personnel.

9. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

10. A self-motivated individual who takes initiative and is dedicated to continuous improvement in steel detailing processes.
