About Our Client
Our client is a leading construction company specializing in Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) projects. With a strong presence in North York and a reputation for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, they are seeking a skilled and experienced ICI Construction Estimator to join their team.

• Conduct thorough cost analysis, including reviewing historical data, market prices, and industry trends to ensure accurate estimates.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of estimates, bids, and related documentation.
• Monitor and track industry trends, market conditions, and changes in costs to improve estimating accuracy.
• Visit project sites to assess scope, take measurements, and gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to obtain competitive pricing for materials and equipment.
• Analyze project documents, including blueprints, specifications, and contracts, to understand project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain quotes and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and services.
• Assist in project handover by providing all relevant documentation and information to the project management team.
• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

The Successful Applicant

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to perform accurate cost estimations.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on producing accurate and thorough estimates.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Familiarity with estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore).
• Proficient in reading blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an ICI Construction Estimator.
• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is an asset.
