ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Maxxit is looking for an experienced full time Estimator with a background in architectural design, construction, and manufacturing. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate that can prioritize their time in accordance with project schedules and deliverables while working in a fast past environment.We are growing rapidly, and this role is critical to our success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be familiar with various materials and finishes and their costs and availability.
• Examine all documents received as a tender package and understand the project/program and its requirements.
• Perform risk analysis and identify potential issues or delays.
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
• Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs etc.)
• Prepare RFQs (request for quotations) and obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors.
• Make quantity take-offs using Bluebeam or similar software.
• Have a construction and industrial background and experience in estimating projects of different sizes and scopes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Familiarity with financial and project management principles.
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience as estimator or similar position in the construction industry.
• Excellent organizational skills
• In-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
• Proficient in relevant software (Bluebeam, Excel etc.)
• Thoroughness and reliability.
• BSc/BA in engineering, construction science or relevant discipline
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
