Overview A Steel Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate estimates for steel fabrication projects. They must have a thorough understanding of the steel fabrication process and be able to accurately calculate the cost of materials, labor, and other associated costs. They must also be able to effectively communicate with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are met. Detailed Job Description The Steel Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate estimates for steel fabrication projects. This includes researching and gathering information about the project, calculating the cost of materials, labor, and other associated costs, and preparing a detailed estimate. The Steel Estimator must have a thorough understanding of the steel fabrication process and be able to accurately calculate the cost of materials, labor, and other associated costs. They must also be able to effectively communicate with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are met. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes
• Ability to accurately calculate costs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in steel fabrication estimating
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes
• Ability to accurately calculate costs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes
• Knowledge of construction estimating principles
• Knowledge of construction materials and their costs
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations
Job Experience
• 5+ years of experience in steel fabrication estimating
• Experience in preparing estimates for steel fabrication projects
• Experience in working with clients and other stakeholders
Job Responsibilities
• Research and gather information about the project
• Calculate the cost of materials, labor, and other associated costs
• Prepare a detailed estimate
• Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are met
• Monitor the progress of the project and adjust the estimate as needed
• Ensure that all safety regulations are followed
