At Hallmark Hardware, we provide integrated and intuitive solutions to our customers. Our company specializes in fabrication, distribution and installation of doors, frames and hardware for Residential, Commercial, Institutional, Industrial and Detention construction in British Columbia.

We are seeking an energetic person who takes pride and ownership in their work to join our team.

Here are the deliverables…

Working with your manager, prepare estimates for new projects. Learn the in-house software and commit to Doors and Hardware Institute (DHI) training. Grow into project management / consulting position as your experience and industry knowledge expand.

Specifically, you must be able to provide:

• Post-mortems to improve processes and recognize successes
• Accurate doors and hardware detailing and pricing
• Solving complex issues that may arise in a timely manner
• Clear and ongoing communication with all stakeholders
• Ensure the interactions with all stakeholders lead to Hallmark Hardware being first to mind for future work
• Detailed analysis of architectural drawings, floor plans, specifications to determine functionality and ultimate operation of each opening.

• Any designation through DHI is an asset
• Previous experience in construction industry is an asset
• Has the qualities to be a leader both internally and externally
• Passionate about exceeding customer expectations and being the expert
• Working with suppliers and vendors for product information, lead-times, and shipping details
• Desire to learn and demonstrates the ability to listen and question to determine the best solution
• Familiarity with construction drawings & specifications
• Knowledge within the trade of doors, frames, and hardware isrequired
• Excellent communicator both verbally and written
• Thrives on detail, analysis and research!
• Excellent knowledge of entire suite of Microsoft products, PDF Editor
• Uphold high value for customer service relationships
• Self-motivated,detail oriented, ability to multi-task with advanced problem solving techniques
• Accurate doors and hardware detailing and pricing

Goals for your growth…

• Earn experience within company and expand your knowledge through DHI studies to become the Architectural Hardware Consultant
• Creating and implementing door hardware keying schedules
• Managing a number of projects (multi-family and commercial) on a daily basis
• Documenting all aspects of any given project through contracts, change orders, sales orders, purchase orders, order acknowledgements, submittals, emails and/or other forms of correspondence
• Using experience and knowledge as they relate to building codes, life safety, and accessibility
• Creating submittals & shop drawings by combining door schedules with product data
• Staying on budget while providing material within the project scope
• Direct communication with customers via phone, email, or jobsite visits
• Determining and adequately meeting project schedules & deadlines
