Estimating roof replacement and new construction projects


Responsibilities


  • Attending site visits and tender meetings
  • Develop systems to streamline estimating process
  • Attend internal weekly meetings held by management
  • Pricing roofing projects and creating proposals for clients
  • Manage all files associated with each project for internal and external use
  • Manage a team of estimators
  • Thoroughly reading specifications and understanding all requirements of every project
  • Review contracts for site requirements


Skills/Qualifications


  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills
  • Ability to pay strong attention to detail
  • Must be punctual and reliable with excellent work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks to efficiently meet deadlines
  • Display strong knowledge of relevant computer applications (Microsoft Office)
  • College diploma or post-graduate certificate in industry relevant program
  • Minimum 10+ years of commercial flat roof estimating experience
  • Must have good organization, time management, multitasking and stress management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Analysis & problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of roofing systems (BUR, Mod-Bit, Single Ply etc.)
  • Form and maintain customer relations through email and on the phone
  • Work independently as well as in a team-based environment
