Structural Steel Detailer Jobs

Should have experience with Tekla software.

Should have sound knowledge of CISC specifications.

Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.

Outstanding communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to learn and retain new skills in a timely matter.

5 years of experience in steel detailing

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and deadlines while maintaining the highest level of quality.

5. Experience using Bluebeam or similar software for document review and collaboration.

6. In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and industry practices related to steel detailing.

8. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with project teams, engineers, architects, and construction personnel.

3. Proficiency in using Tekla Structures software for 3D modeling and detailing of steel structures.

Three or more years fitting experience specifically in structural steel fitting, fabrication and welding

Read and understand engineered drawings, plans and blueprints

Competent use of equipment and tools including overhead cranes, hoists, welding machines and cutting torch

Cutting and drilling of steel,

Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units or subunits using tack welding, bolting, riveting or other methods

Physically fit and able to frequently lift in excess of 50 pounds

One year of work experience in the trade required. Some college or industry courses in welding are considered an asset.

Interprovincial trade certification (Red Seal) an asset.

Ensures all required CWB qualifications are current.

Possesses knowledge of pre-heat and post-heat temperatures and applications.

Overhead Crane certification is an asset.

Reads and interprets blueprints or welding process specifications and welding symbols.

Exceptional communication and time management skills;

Diploma from a technical university or related experience and training.

Steel design, drafting, fabrication or installation experience will be highly regarded but not necessary;

Strong organizational skill and attention to detail;

Your responsibilities will include the following:
