About the Role

As Senior Research Analyst, you will be delivering research analytics and data services for academic and governmental organizations. To drive growth and trusted partnerships, you will be Innovating to drive business scalability while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development of new bibliometric indicators (internal R&D and some presented to the public through conferences/papers) & templated reports.
• Preparing Data, indicator computation/analysis and visualization (e.g., source the information for each indicator in core production pipeline, new indicators, tools).
• Analyzing statistics plus modelling (e.g., econometrics, ML).
• Focusing on developing and delivering new commercial opportunities with some work related to R&D. Developing new indicators and/or analytical approaches in the field of bibliometrics.
• Developing and deliver tutorials and trainings on how to best execute bibliometric projects adhering to our standards.
• Participating and lead the design, execution and validation of key studies. Drafting proposals, Data preparation and conditioning, Indicator computation, Visualization and analysis & Reporting.

Requirements

• Have interest in pursuing new lines of research in bibliometrics (both the computer science and policy side of bibliometrics).
• Have ability to manage client relations (active listening, building trust, presenting, addressing comments, etc.).
• Experience in managing multiple projects at different stages, work in an agile way and prioritize and signal challenges early on. Produce intuitive visuals for an easy interpretation of results.
• Have knowledge/experience of bibliometrics (e.g., experience with the computation methods underlying mainstream bibliometric indicators on peer-reviewed publications, patents, and more).
• Experience with extract, transform, load, curate and enrich data from various sources and to code (using SQL, Python, Pyspark).
• Display ability to deliver & interpret results in support of evidence-based decision making in formats (databooks, dashboards, presentations, written reports).
