About The Role
As a Model Validation and Optimization consultant (Senior Associate level), you’ll begin to develop specialized knowledge and manage significantly larger and more complex areas within the Risk and Compliance space. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their challenges, create strategies for change, win buy-in for your recommendations, and collaborate with fellow consultants to transform client potential into performance.

You’ll collaborate on challenging projects with team members from many backgrounds and areas of specialism, increasing your understanding of complex business problems from diverse perspectives and developing new skills and experience to help you at every stage of your career.
This role is technical and will require the individual to have strong experience in both Financial Crime and Analytics.
What You'll Do
The right person for this role is an enthusiastic early-stage professional with prior experience in compliance, analytics, or technology. You will be given opportunities to work on problems outside your comfort zone, but will also have access to support and guidance to achieve your day-to-day objectives and help with your development within the industry.
A successful candidate will have a keen interest in new technologies and innovation, with an attitude that includes a questioning mind to understand the what, why, and how behind these technologies.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize financial crime systems and controls.
- Develop dashboards or other visualizations and provide clients with key reporting of key metrics.
- Conduct current state and maturity assessments of our clients' Financial Crime technology programs.
- Contribute to internal initiatives, including product development, business development, and other strategic initiatives.
- Create scripts to automate repetitive tasks or analyze large datasets.
- Apply independent judgment to solve complex problems supported by qualitative and/or quantitative analysis.
- Perform data quality and data lineage assessment across ID&V, Sanctions, and Transaction Monitoring systems.
- Work on a variety of client engagements, delivering high-quality products and advisory services to address their needs.
- Develop AML or Fraud detection models.
- Advise on target state technology to improve risk identification and operational efficiency.
- Develop tools and accelerators to increase the speed and accuracy of our analysis.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with an intuition to identify different approaches to solving complex problems
- Strong Database (SQL, noSQL, etc.) or development experience (Python, JS, R, Selenium)
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with a financial institution or consulting firm in a compliance, legal, technology, or audit-related role
- Adaptable and enjoy the challenge of a dynamic consulting environment where you work on varied projects
- Experience in advising or executing the creation of AML and fraud detection and prevention models
- Strong understanding of AML and Sanctions Technology frameworks and processes related to BSA/AML
Preferred Qualification
- Prior experience in a compliance, legal, technology, or audit-related area
- Knowledge of payments, fintechs and crypto;
- Strong Database (SQL, noSQL, etc.) or development experience (Python, JS, R, Selenium)
- Proficiency of Google Suite
