Senior Project Control Officer/Reporting Specialist/ junior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reporting Specialist to join our team for our Top- Notch (Insurance domain) client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate, comprehensive, and insightful reports that support effective decision-making, facilitate program monitoring and control, and foster transparency within our organization. With a strong background in the Banking & Financial Services Industry and extensive domain knowledge, the Reporting Specialist will play a crucial role in providing valuable reporting insights.

Role Type :Long – Term Contract / Full-time (both can be workout)

Hybrid-1/2 days from office

Location -Downtown, Toronto

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with reporting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements, validating the accuracy and integrity of reported data and performing quality assurance checks to identify and resolve inconsistencies and errors.
• Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex information and insights to stakeholders, facilitating understanding and enabling informed decision-making.
• Monitor program performance against metrics, objectives, and targets, conducting thorough variance analysis to identify and analyze deviations and recommending appropriate corrective actions.
• Generate regular reports on a predetermined schedule (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly), ensuring timely and accurate delivery while adhering to established reporting standards.
• Collect and analyze data from various sources within the program, including financial information, project status updates, and resource allocations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness for reporting purposes.
• Design and develop reporting formats, templates, and dashboards that effectively present the program's performance and progress, meeting the reporting needs of program managers and executives.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting, with the ability to gather information from various sources and ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 6 years of experience in the Banking & Financial Services Industry, demonstrating strong domain knowledge.
• Proven track record in delivering high-quality reports that provide valuable insights for decision-making and program monitoring.
• Critical thinker with strong analytical skills, able to perform variance analysis and identify actionable insights.
• Experience in designing and developing reporting formats, templates, and dashboards to effectively communicate program performance.
• Strong understanding of reporting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to ensure compliance and maintain data integrity.
