Senior Technical Program Manager

Our team and what we’ll accomplish together:

The Connected Home Development and Operations team, is on a mission to transform

the Canadian and Global Home Security Service. We focus on designing, building and

operating the cloud based, TELUS Smart Home service platform, devices, applications

that help us put customers and communities first.

What you’ll do:

You will be at the forefront of an exciting, Smart Home platform, devices and application

development program. You’ll lead delivery of a cloud based, global platform, and, as

part of an agile development program team, work closely with engineering managers,

solution architects, product owners, product managers, engineers and developers to

create a platform with speed and scale.

Here’s how:

● Lead the delivery of a large-scale, microservices based platform on Amazon Web

Services(AWS) that drives significant value for TELUS Smart Home customers.

● Work across internal and external partners to integrate with multiple systems and

deliver Smart Home devices,and mobile applications.

● Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the

organization, including business leaders, functional teams, and external partners.

● Establish and maintain program governance structures, including steering

committees, working groups, and other forums as required.

● Ensure the timely identification and management of program risks, issues, and

dependencies, and develop mitigation plans as required.

● Ensure all program deliverables meet TELUS' quality standards, and lead the

development and execution of program testing and acceptance plans.

● Manage program communications, including progress reporting, issue escalation,

and stakeholder engagement.

● Coach and mentor program team members, providing guidance and support to

ensure the successful delivery of program objectives.

What you bring:

● 5 + years program management experience, including consistent application of

agile project management and change management methodologies and tools.

● Experience leading Scrum of Scrums, and other agile ceremonies.

● Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and Google Suite

● Strong experience with risk management/mitigation of large, complex initiatives

● Strong track record of delivery in Telecommunications, Smart Home and IOT

industry.

● Ability to proactively resolve internal and external conflicting priorities in the

delivery of a project, resolve resourcing issues, manage schedule conflicts and

manage project scope

● Powerful, concise and effective communication and presentation skills to all

levels of management and external parties

● Ability to guide a cross functional team of highly skilled people working

separately and effectively across the organization

● Excellent working knowledge of Google Workspace, JIRA, Confluence, Slack

● PMP designation or similar certification

Great to have:

● Experience working with AWS and/or other cloud providers.

● Experience delivering Smart Home and/or IOT products.

● Experience working with global platforms.
